The Introduction to Riding Off-Road class is for licensed motorcycle riders that want to learn off-road riding techniques. The course starts off with a series of cone drills to develop the necessary skills to ride the trails around the park. Riders must demonstrate correct riding techniques within a closed course before being led by the coach on trails. Class run time is approximately 5-6 hours (including time for lunch) and is performed only outdoors.
We provide dirtbikes, helmets, and a limited amount of knee and elbow protection. The dirtbikes are 125cc engine size, are equipped with a clutch, and have a seat height of 30 or 31 inches. Kick start and manual shifting will be taught to start and operate the dirtbike. The dirtbikes are adequate for a 5-6 foot tall person with an inseam of 28 inches or higher, and weigh under 250 lbs. *Contact the school if a smaller or larger motorcycle needs to be accommodated, there may be limited equipment availability. Riders can bring their own dirtbike and helmet, however it must pass a safety inspection by the RiderCoach for use in course.
Riders must bring the following to class:
