First Ride Experience

The First Ride Experience is designed for people who have never operated a motorcycle or dirtbike. It is intended to only be an introduction to Ride On Academy and the Dirtbike School. The experience is 1-2 hours long - it serves as a starting point for people who want to try out riding a motorcycle and to determine if they want to take a full course. Participants must be 12 years old and older.

Kids ages 6-11 must sign up for the Kids Dirtbike School directly. The First Ride Experience lessons are nearly identical to the Kids Dirtbike School lessons. 

Dirtbikes and helmets are provided, please bring the required clothing items to ride: 

-long sleeve shirt or riding jacket

-sturdy long pants (no sweats pants or stretchy pants)

-over the ankle boots (no heel taller than 1 inch)

-full finger gloves

-eye protection (sunglasses/eyeglasses are acceptable)

Riders will be taught how to put on protective gear correctly and use the dirtbike controls properly to ride within a closed course. Lessons will cover starting, stopping, and turning. The experience is oriented towards serious fun without the 6-hour commitment of a full length Dirtbike School course. The coach will provide an overview of Ride On Academy courses prior to dismissal.

• April 12 @ Rocky Glen OHV

• April 30 @ Kane County Fair

• May 3 @ Woodstock Harley Davidson

• May 11 @ Rocky Glen OHV

• June 1 @ Woodstock Harley Davidson 

• June 4 @ Kane County Fair

• June 6 @ Woodstock Harley Davidson

• June 8 @ Rocky Glen OHV
